Privacy Policy

This policy explains how BearDogDev Technologies Inc. (“we”, “us”) handles information on our website, beardogdev.ca, and in our app, PocketCAD. We’re a corporation incorporated in British Columbia, Canada.

In short: PocketCAD doesn’t collect personal information. Our website doesn’t use cookies, analytics or trackers. If you email us, we use what you send only to reply to you.

Our website

• No cookies or tracking. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Its fonts, scripts and images are all served from our own domain.
• Hosting. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. Cloudflare’s handling of that information is described in its privacy policy.
• Email. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever your message contains. We use it only to reply and to keep a record of our correspondence. We don’t sell it, share it for marketing, or add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

PocketCAD

• No personal information. PocketCAD has no accounts and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code. It doesn’t send information to us or to anyone else.
• Your models. Models are files stored on your device, in PocketCAD’s folder in the Files app, or wherever you choose to save or open them (for example iCloud Drive, which Apple’s privacy policy covers). We never receive them.
• Camera. PocketCAD uses the camera only for View in AR, to show your model at its real size in your surroundings. The camera image is processed on your device and isn’t recorded, stored or sent anywhere.
• Sharing and export. When you export or share a file, such as an STL for your printer, it goes only where you send it.
• Diagnostics from Apple. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device’s settings, Apple may give us crash reports and usage statistics that don’t identify you. We use them only to find and fix problems.

Children

We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law, you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Because we collect so little, this usually means your emails to us. Contact us at the address below and we’ll respond within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a product starts handling information in a new way, we’ll say so here before it does.
